Ro 8:28 For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,
to: Rog needs a liver to live!
Please don't let the sun set without clicking on
a Donor site at the bottom of this web page and becoming a organ donor!!
I am a Viet Nam veteran who has contracted the Hep "C" virus. I am in need of a liver transplant. The liver could come
from any donor who has designated me as the person to receive their liver upon the time of their, or a loved one's death.
It is preferred that the donor is a young person. Only because of the possibility of Hep C virus attacking the new liver.
A older liver would not have as good of a chance of fighting off the virus as a younger liver does. Also the person blood
type has to be "A" or "O" to match. So that is the first step a person has to take. Find out what your blood type is.
I live in AZ., and I am listed to have the transplant done at Banner Good Samaritan hospital in Phoenix. (click on the Banner
Hospital link below for locations). I am listed on the AZ liver transplant list as well as the Veterans Administrations Liver
transplant list. The V.A. does the transplants in Portland.
I would pay all expenses connected to this gift.
Please feel free to E-mail me on my E-mail link below or at rogtrishs@hughes.net for any questions you might have about
liver transplant, or to discuss Hep "C" and liver disease or what ever is on your mind. I am a Christian, married with
5 children and 2 grandchildren. My faith is in God thefather, son and Holy spirit and I believe that He provides for his
followers, and gives us strength to have courage to face up to what ever He has decided our destiny will be.
If you are not a "A" or "O" blood type I would hope that you would still look into becoming an organ donor. The time to
get listed is now, not when you are on your death bed and your family is forced to make such a traumatic decision at a time
when they are experiencing your possible loss. I have the links on the bottom of my web page for you to use to follow up
on this wonderful gift of life that you can pass on and you yourself even keep on living in the body of another.
Favorite things to do--
Teaching Sunday School
Singing in Church Choir
My favorite thing to do was serving in our church as a Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir, and serving on various
boards and committees. I also m very happily married to a wonderful woman who is also my best friend and a person I always
enjoy being with.
The biggest reward for me from a transplant will be having the strength and energy once again to teach Sunday School,
sing in the choir, and serve on boards, and committees like I used to be able to do and get back to the activities I used to
share with my grandchildren.
Most Admired
All of the wonderful people who keep me in their prayers and
persons who are willing to get on the organ donor list.
Campaign Mission
Links For Life Campaign aims to promote organ donation
by:
showing the real people, stories and faces of those
desperately in need of a life saving organ transplants because they are the ones directly affected by the tremendous shortage
of donations.
providing useful information, appropriate links and
other convenient resources.
networking with other people and organizations who
share the common goal of promoting organ donation.
continually searching for positive and effective ways
to make organ donation a main stream topic - rather than an afterthought.
providing a community for visitors and participants to voice
their needs, concerns, questions and opinions for others to consider.
All in the hopes of:
motivating the masses into giving the greatest gift of all...
Life.
making the Transplant Waiting List a distant memory - rather
than distantly remembering those who were lost because it ever existed.
